Sheenagh Pietrobruno, professeure adjointe d’anglais à l’université Fatih à Istanbul, est chercheuse invitée à l’Institut d’études canadiennes de McGill (2012-2013). Elle est titulaire d’un doctorat en communication de l’Université McGill. Elle a tenu des postes universitaires comme boursière de recherches postdoctorales à Goldsmiths’, University of London et au Advanced Cultural Studies Institute of Sweden, université Linköping, ainsi que comme chercheuse principale invité Muriel Gold au Institute for Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies de l’Université McGill et comme chercheuse résidente à gendup : Centre for Women and Gender Studies à l’université de Salzburg. Sa recherché combine le patrimoine numérique, les nouveaux médias, l’histoire des médias, les arts du spectacle et le patrimoine immatériel. Elle est l’auteure de Salsa and Its Transnational Moves (Rowan and Littlefield Publishers, 2006). Son prochain livre, à paraitre, s’intitule Digital Legacies : The Social Archiving of Intangible Heritage.
